St Stephen’s is a beautiful and spacious building with excellent acoustics and is available for rehearsals, recordings and public performances.
The building is well heated in winter and comfortably seats 350 people with uninterrupted views of the Sanctuary, where most of the performances take place.
The Sanctuary is a generous space which can accommodate an orchestra of up to 80 players, or a large choir.
The organ by Norman and Beard commissioned in 1905, and reconstructed and enlarged in 2001, may also be hired at no additional charge; as may the Bosendorfer piano maintained by the Royal College of Music.
St Stephen’s Parish Hall is located a few hundred yards from the church in Emperor’s Gate.
The Hall which is used as a nursery during the day, is available for hire in the evening for meetings and choir rehearsals, there is an upright piano.
