Lent is the forty-day journey to Holy Week and Easter, and the events that are at the heart of our faith. We use these forty days to prepare ourselves through a renewed commitment to prayer, in fasting and abstinence and by acts of generosity and service.

Alongside our regular round of worship we are offering three opportunities at St Stephen's this Lent. We'll be holding a Zoom Book Club to explore together The Towers of Trebizond by Rose Macauley, using this witty novel as a means of sharing in fellowship, fun and study together. Secondly, there's a specially written booklet using the Old Testament readings we'll be hearing at Sunday Mass in Lent to look at the key questions of faith: How can we know God? Can we have a relationship with him? Can we trust him in dark times? Thirdly, during Passiontide we'll be posting specially recorded videos of the Stations of the Cross, made by our parish clergy and musicians on our Facebook page and YouTube channel.
Find out how to join in by looking at the Together in Prayer page on this site, and join us as we grow in faith together.
