‘A
new Beginning’
Thursday, January 8th 2009 @ 7.30pm
Praying
for
Hope,
Peace and Reconciliation
‘We build in vain
unless the LORD build with us’
This opening line
from the poem The Rock is by T S Eliot who attended
St Stephen’s for 40 years and for 25 of those was
Church Warden. Let us therefore go into the New Year
with this as the foundation of our intentions for
2009.
And this exquisite
church is very close to the Kensington museums and
Kensington Palace and is literally a 2 min walk from
Gloucester Road tube (Circle, District and
Piccadilly lines). Just turn left out of the
station, cross over Cromwell Road, walk up a few
yards to corner of Gloucester Road and Southwell
Gardens and you’re there!
The service will
be a mix of readings, prayer and music using Taizé,
contemporary worship, Gaelic chant as well as
traditional.
ALL welcome
There will be refreshment, drinks and
fellowship afterwards
